inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The government has allocated a budget of IDR 12.83 trillion for the first quarter of 2026 economic stimulus package, which includes transportation ticket discounts, toll road toll reductions, and social assistance.
According to Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, the stimulus package, which will be provided during February-March 2026, does not include electricity tariff discounts. He confirmed that there will be no electricity tariff discounts in 2026.
"We are preparing a stimulus package that reflects Indonesia's economic growth. We have allocated IDR 12.83 trillion for transportation discounts during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, including airline ticket discounts," explained Coordinating Minister Airlangga on Tuesday (2/3/2026).
He stated that of the total budget, IDR 200 billion is allocated for transportation discounts, while around IDR 12 trillion is allocated for social assistance.
In detail, the government will provide airline ticket discounts of up to 16 percent. These incentives include government-borne Value Added Tax (PPN DTP) specifically for economy class domestic flights.
"Then, Angkasa Pura will give a 50 percent discount on airport taxes, and there will also be a discount on aviation fuel," said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
Meanwhile, he said that for sea and rail transportation, ticket fares will be reduced by up to 30 percent. The government is also preparing a discount of up to 20 percent on toll road fares.
"The social assistance program consists of 10 kilograms of rice for two months, plus MinyaKita for two months," said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
Coordinating Minister Airlangga did not elaborate on the timing of the discounts. However, he confirmed that the stimulus package will be distributed during the Ramadan holiday and Eid al-Fitr 2026.
"Our target is to boost the economy because the first quarter is crucial. Last year's first quarter (growth) was relatively lower," concluded Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
