The Head of the Bhayangkara Police Hospital, Brigadier General Prima Heru Yulihartono, stated that Eyang Meri passed away at the age of 100. He said Eyang Meri passed away after undergoing treatment for an illness.

"Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un, Mrs. Meryati Hoegeng (100 years old), passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 1:24 PM WIB due to illness," he announced on Tuesday (2/3/2026).

He explained that the body will be laid to rest at the Pesona Khayangan Estate funeral home in Mekarjaya, Depok. The deceased is planned to be buried at Giri Tama Cemetery in Tonjong, Bogor, on Wednesday (February 4, 2026).

"Tomorrow, Wednesday, after the midday prayer," he said.
