inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko Widodo wants the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) to be the example for good and fast governance.

“For investment, he believes that IKN would be the example for good and fast governance. Right now, good is not enough, but we also have to be fast. Permits and other administration must be handled quickly, and with this, IKN could be the prime example for other cities,” said the Acting Head of IKN Authority (OIKN), Basuki Hadimuljono, on Monday (7/29/2024).

Basuki also says that as of now there are 45 investors who laid the first stone laying or groundbreaking of IKN from the first to the sixth phase.

Furthermore, next week, there will be a groundbreaking for the seventh phase that will involve five investors.

Previously, Jokowi said that the construction of IKN has positively affected the economic growth of its surrounding area.

“You can see for yourself in the East Kalimantan Indonesian Bank report, how far the economic growth is for the first and second quarter. The data shows that the development of IKN positively affects its surrounding area. Last time I checked, the growth was about 7 percent,” said Jokowi.
