inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. In improving the quality of education in Indonesia, the Executive Board of the Indonesian Teachers Association (PB PGRI) is ready to collaborate and partner with the government.

"PGRI congratulates the two ministers in charge of education. We hope that with the new nomenclature, the Ministry of Education can focus on accelerating the programs thatimprove the quality of national education," said the General Chairperson of PB PGRI, Unifah Rosyidi on Wednesday (10/23/2024).

It is known that President Prabowo officially inaugurated Abdul Mut'ti as Minister of Primary and Secondary Education. Meanwhile, Satryo Soemantri Brojonegoro was inaugurated as the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology.

The General Chairperson of PB PGRI, ensured that PGRI is ready to support various government policies that favor teachers and lecturers. Especially in improving the quality of human resources, improving the welfare of educators, and providing protection insurance for the profession.

"PGRI places great hope on the two Ministers to be able to listen and pay close attention to the state’s education, and implement input and suggestions from educators, both teachers, lecturers, and others," she explained.

In facing complex educational challenges, PGRI views the importance of adequate funding allocation to support quality education costs. This includes infrastructure development, certainty of teacher status, improving teacher welfare, and fulfilling other educational needs.

"PGRI is committed to fighting for the rights of teachers and students. As well as ensuring that education remains a top priority in the national development agenda," she concluded.
