The South Papua Head of the Operation Mantap Praja Cartenz Task Force (OMPC) II, Senior Superintendent Sondang RD, appreciates the public and election candidates' support for the conducive situation during the first electoral debate at Swiss-bel Hotel on Wednesday (10/23/2024) night.

Sondang states that the safe situation during the debate is also thanks to the collaboration between the police and all public elements.

“We want to say our highest gratitude and appreciation to all public elements and election candidates’ supporters who have shown maturity in democracy, particularly in maintaining a safe and conducive situation during the debate,” says Sondang on Thursday (10/24/2024).

He adds that Papua Regional Police, through the Mantap Praja Cartenz II Ops, will continue to oversee the Regional Head Election process to its end strictly. He ensures that all election processes, from the debate to voting day, will remain undisturbed.

Sondang invites all public elements to continue maintaining order throughout the election process while election candidates’ supporters are urged to maintain state unity amidst the heat of the competition.
