Inp.polri.go.id - St. Petersburg, Russia. Indonesia and Russia formalized four cooperation agreements on Thursday during President Prabowo Subianto’s official visit to the Konstantinovsky Palace, witnessed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The bilateral documents signed include the Agreement on Higher Education Cooperation, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Transportation Cooperation,the MoU on Digital Development and Mass Media Collaboration, and the MoU on Investment Platform.
“I want to emphasize that Indonesia is a key partner for Russia in the Asia-Pacific region,” President Putin said during a joint press statement, as reported by antaranews.com on Friday (20/6/2025).
He added that bilateral trade between Indonesia and Russia surged by 40% in the first four months of 2025, compared to $4.3 billion during the same period last year.
President Prabowo highlighted the “intense, warm, and productive” nature of the talks and praised the steady growth in cooperation across various sectors.
