Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia has officially been selected to host the AFF U-23 Championship 2025, scheduled to take place from 13 to 31 July to 2025.
According to PSSI's official announcement on Saturday (19/4/2025), the tournament will feature 12 participating countries divided into three groups. The group draw is set for 30 May 2025 in Jakarta.
Matches will be held at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta and Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium in Bekasi. It marks Indonesia's return as host after finishing as runners-up in the 2023 edition, narrowly losing to Vietnam on penalties in the final.
PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir maintained Indonesia’s commitment to developing football and youth competitions in the region, antaranew.com reported.
PSSI has also bid to host the AFC U-23 Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers in September, proposing Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium as the venue. The AFC will announce the host decision by the end of April.
