Indonesia Draws 2-2 Against Bahrain in World Cup Qualifiers

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia's national football team drew 2-2 against Bahrain in their third Group C match of the 2026 World Cup Asian qualifiers on Thursday  (10/10/2024)at Bahrain National Stadium.

Bahrain opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Mohamed Marhoon, but Indonesia equalized just before halftime with Ragnar Oratmangoen's goal. In the second half, Rafael Struick put Indonesia ahead in the 73rd minute with a precise shot. However, Marhoon struck again in the 90+9 minute, salvaging a draw for Bahrain, according to antaranews.com.

Indonesia's head coach Shin Tae-yong made four changes from the previous match against Australia, introducing Mees Hilgers, Thom Haye, Malik Risaldi, and Jordi Amat. 

The draw leaves Indonesia in fifth place in the standings with three points, just behind Bahrain, who now has four points.
