Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s U-20 national team ended its campaign at the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup in China in third place in Group C with a total of one point after a 0-0 draw against Yemen on Wednesday (19/2/2025).
The result matches Indonesia's group-stage finish at the 2023 tournament in Uzbekistan, though the team previously collected four points in that edition. In the 2025 competition, Indonesia outperformed Yemen—which finished last—based on goal difference (-5 for Indonesia versus -7 for Yemen).
Group C's final standings saw Iran top the group with a perfect nine points after defeating defending champion Uzbekistan 2-1, winning a spot in the knockout stage. Uzbekistan finished second with six points.
"We gave our best, but there’s still work to be done for future tournaments," coach Indra Sjafri said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
