Inp.polri.go.id – Washington DC. President Joko Widodo says Indonesia is blessed with differences and diversity that are able to unite the nation. In managing its diversities, Indonesia has the ideology of Pancasila which serves as its guidelines. “In managing our diversities, Indonesia has its guide, its own ideology. Pancasila, unity in diversity which inspires every aspect of live in our nation,” says President Jokowi at Gaston Hall, Georgetown University, Washington DC, United States of America on Thursday (11/14/2023). According to Jokowi, differences that led to rivalry and competition between states is not something out of the ordinary. However, he stressed the importance of managing differences so as not causing open conflicts caused by regional instability. “Communication, room for dialogue, collaboration, and cooperation is the key for maintaining stability and peace, both in regional and world,” explains Jokowi. Jokowi also underscored that Indonesia is open for cooperation with all states. Indonesia also stands firm with world peace and humanity, unbiased towards either bloc. According to the Indonesian President, this is a principle that Indonesia presents when hosting G20 and ASEAN. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
