Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s title drought at the BWF World Tour Super 1000 Indonesia Open continues after the nation’s only finalists, Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, were defeated by South Korea’s Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae on Sunday (8/6/2025).
Despite winning the first game 21-18 with strong momentum and roaring home support at Istora Senayan, the eighth-seeded Sabar/Reza pair lost steam as Kim/Seo rallied to win the next two games 21-19 and 21-12, as reported by antaranews.com.
This defeat marked the host’s fourth consecutive year without a title since Marcus Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya’s victory in 2021.
Kim/Seo had also ousted top Indonesian seeds Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto in a tight semifinal battle.
