Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesia reveals lists of 166 projects on ASEAN-Indo-Pacific Forum (AIPF) that has the total value of 56 billion USD. AIPF aims to build connectivity, opportunities, and push collaboration that are beneficial for ASEAN member states and partners. “AIPF is based on forward looking cooperation to build a strong foundation for economic growth in the future. Amidst weakened global economy, we ASEAN remains strong, even goes beyond the average of global growth,” applaud Indonesian President Joko Widodo. AIPF aimed to realize ASEAN as the Epicentrum of Growth. As the home of many states with the fastest economic growth in the world, also with its strategic location, ASEAN obviously played a vital role. The event of AIPF then followed with panels, attended by World Bank President, IMF Managing Director, Chairman World Economic Forum, and the President of ERIA. The panels discussed about how ASEAN able to outperform other region in recent years, how maintaining economic growth, and how ASEAN should anticipate future challenges. On the second panel, attended by CSO Standard Chartered, CEO Thales Group, President Microsoft Asia, COO Masdar, and CEO Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI). The panels discussed about three AIPF sub-themes and concrete project that is ongoing in ASEAN.
