Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia secured two spots in the finals of the prestigious Indonesia Open 2026 at Istora Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) on Sunday (7/6/2026), markings the first time these players have reached the championship round of the tournament.
The first finalist is Jonatan Christie, who has competed in the Indonesia Open since 2015 but only now secured a place in the final. Seeded fifth, Jonatan defeated Thai Panitchaphon Teeraratsakulwith score s of 16-21, 21-10, 21-12.
Joining him are men’s doubles pair Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin. Competing in their debut Indonesia Open, they overcame last year’s finalists Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani in straight sets, 21-15, 21-18.
Both Jonatan and Raymond/Joaquin were breaking new ground by reaching the final stage of the tournament for the first time.
