They were defeated by the Chinese pair He Ji Ting/Ren Xiang Yu in straight sets of 11-21, 15-21. 

Despite Jonatan Christie's efforts to extend Indonesia's run, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and the pair Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto also faced defeat against the host team, as reported by antaranews.com.

Bagas/Fikri struggled from the start, falling behind significantly at 3-10 in the first game. Despite their efforts to catch up, they conceded the first set 11-21. The Chinese team's confidence grew with the significant lead, ultimately securing a 1-3 victory over Indonesia.

Indonesia's last victory was in 2020 after a 19-year wait.
