Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.   Indonesian climbers Raharjati Nursamsa and Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi won gold medals in the speed category at the IFSC Climbing World Cup Krakow 2025 held in Poland on Sunday (6/7/2025).

Raharjati delivered a stellar performance in the men’s speed final, defeating fellow Indonesian Kiromal Katibin with a winning time of 4.73 seconds.

Kiromal, who experienced a fall during his run, settled for silver. The bronze medal went to Japan’s Ryo Omasa, who clocked 5.48 seconds to beat Zach Hammer from the United States in the small final.

“I’m thrilled to win gold again after two years. I just focused on climbing as fast as possible and didn’t let the pressure get to me,” Raharjati said in a post-race interview, as quoted by antaranews.com

In the women’s speed final, Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi brought home another gold for Indonesia with a time of 6.27 seconds, outpacing American Emma Hunt, who finished at 7.56 seconds. Aleksandra Miroslaw of Poland secured the bronze by defeating Natalia Kalucka with a time of 6.36 seconds.

The victory cemented Desak’s position as a consistent top performer on the international stage, continuing her success in previous IFSC World Cup series.

According to Wahyu Pristiawan Buntoro, the Secretary General of the Indonesian Climbing Federation (PP FPTI), the two golds and one silver results highlighted Indonesia’s continued dominance in speed climbing.
