Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Indonesia and Tajikistan have agreed to strengthen bilateral relations by expanding economic collaboration and promoting closer people-to-people ties, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Saturday (31/5/2025).

“This is the right moment to deepen our cooperation, especially with 31 years of diplomatic relations between our countries,” said Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir, as quoted by antara news.com

The meeting, held during the High-Level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation 2025, also explored potential partnerships in trade, investment, downstream industries, and energy. Tajikistan expressed interest in investing in Indonesia’s downstream industrial sector and discussed opportunities in hydro-energy and palm oil processing.

Tajikistan welcomed Indonesia’s invitation to participate in the Halal Indo Expo and Trade Expo Indonesia later this year, and requested more scholarships for Tajik students.
