Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo said that the second phase of the National Sports Grand Design (DBON) will focus on Indonesia’s performance in three major global events: the Asian Games, the Olympics, and the FIFA World Cup.

Following a ministerial meeting chaired by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka on Wednesday (4/12/2024), he outlined plans to align DBON with Astacita, the government’s strategic vision for national development. 

This initiative, championed by President Prabowo Subianto and VP Gibran, aims to enhance sports infrastructure and funding to support Indonesia’s athletes on the world stage.

“Our priorities are clear—these global competitions are key. Local administrations must also play a more active role in implementing regional sports strategies,” Minister Dito said,as quoted by antaranews.com.

The plan includes greater involvement from educational institutions, leveraging resources to develop talent through enhanced facilities and tailored curriculums.

The meeting also brought together senior officials, including Coordinating Minister of Human Development and CulturePratikno and Minister of State-Owned EnterprisesErick Thohir.
