Inp.polri.go.id - North Penajam Paser. Indonesia and the United States are collaborating to construct an Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) in Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), the new capital city in East Kalimantan.
“We have launched the ICCC project alongside the U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce,” said Mohammed Ali Berawi, the Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation at the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN), on Friday (22/11/2024).
Nusantara aims to be a global city, welcoming international involvement. “
This project reflects our commitment to collaboration and advancing smart city technologies,” he added, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The initiative builds on a $7.6 million grant from the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) signed in September 2024.
“This partnership highlights the U.S. commitment to supporting IKN’s development and strengthening bilateral ties,” said Marisa Lago, the U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade.
The project involves eight major U.S. companies, including Amazon Web Services, Cisco, and IBM.
“Nusantara represents growth and sustainability, and we are proud to contribute to its smart city vision,” she said,
The ICCC will showcase advanced technology in Nusantara, furthering innovation and global collaboration.
