Indonesian Army, USARPAC Strengthen Partnership for Asia-Pacific Stability

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Maruli Simanjuntak and US Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) Commanding General General Charles A. Flynn had agreed to deepen cooperation for regional stability.

In their meeting at Army Headquarters (Mabesad) in Jakarta, they discussed opportunities for collaboration in education, soldier exchanges, technology transfer, joint exercises, and joint defense enhancements.

Commander Maruli reaffirmed the Indonesian Army's commitment to deepen military cooperation with USARPAC, seeing Commander Flynn's visit to Mabesad as a testament to strong bilateral ties, according to antaranews.com.

Commander Flynn, during their meeting, expressed appreciation for the ongoing cooperation between Indonesia and the US, particularly in the military sector.

He stressed the importance of cross-border cooperation in maintaining regional peace and security, pledging to further strengthen military ties between USARPAC and the Indonesian Army.

USARPAC, under the US Indo-Pacific Command, operates across various Pacific regions and parts of Southeast and South Asia. Commander Flynn has led USARPAC since 4 June 2021.
