inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Manpower is committed to developing the video game industry by providing training and standardization for creators. The Ministry will have 11 training programs related to various areas of the creative video game industry.
"We are ready for the continued development and growth of the creative game industry. We have prepared the standards, and we have even prepared a training program for the creative video game industry," said Abdullah Qiqi Asmara, Director of Competency Standardization and Training Programs at the Ministry of Manpower, as reported by RRI on Saturday (8/9/2025).
He explained that there will be 61 types of skills certification in the creative video game sector through the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI). The SKKNI is needed by creative industry workers to ensure they are registered as professionals.
"They can have game-related programs; gamers can participate in training and earn certification through competency tests. If they have their own training, they can join an LPK (Vocational Training Institute)," he explained.
He further emphasized that currently, 9.9 million young people are unemployed and prefer to work in the creative industry. Responding to this, the Ministry of Manpower will develop various training programs.
"Through the Skill Hub, Certification Hub, Career Hub, and Biz Hub platforms, and by providing social assistance through the Pre-Employment Program, we are committed to improve the welfare of creative industry workers," he explained.
