Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that all Indonesian citizens) in areas affected by Super Typhoon Ragasa, including China’s Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and the Phillipines’ Manila, are safe.
“There have been no reports of Indonesians harmed or affected by Super Typhoon Ragasa,” said Judha Nugraha, theDirector of Protection for Indonesian Citizens, in a written statement on Wednesday (24/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
The Foreign Ministry reported that Indonesian missions, including the Consulate General in Hong Kong, the Economic and Trade Office in Taipei, the Embassy in Manila, and the Consulate General in Guangzhou, have been coordinating with local authorities and Indonesian communities.
While Taiwan’s Central Emergency Operation Center (CEOC) confirmed 14 fatalities, all Taiwanese citizens, there have been no reported casualties in Hong Kong or Macau. Local authorities in Hong Kong downgraded the storm alert from T8 to T3 on Wednesday night.
The Foreign Ministry continues to monitor the situation closely and urges Indonesians in affected regions to stay vigilant and contact Indonesian hotlines in emergencies.
