inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Industry provided training for managers of Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) on food safety systems through a Technical Guidance on the Introduction and Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
The training was conducted at the Pontianak Center for Standardization and Industrial Services (BSPJI) as an effort to support the provision of safe, hygienic, and quality food for the public.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that the standardization and quality assurance systems is a crucial factor in maintaining the quality of food products while increasing public trust in nutrition fulfillment services.
"The standardization and product quality assurance is a crucial factor in boosting market confidence and strengthening the competitiveness of the national industry," said Agus on Thursday (5/21/2026).
Through the technical guidance, participants gained an understanding of the implementation of a HACCP-based food safety system, from identifying potential food hazards, controlling critical points, to the importance of consistently implementing food safety procedures in the food supply process.
In line with strengthening standardization and quality assurance in the industrial sector, Emmy Suryandari, Head of the Agency for Standardization and Industrial Services Policy (BSKJI) of the Ministry of Industry, emphasized that implementing a food safety system is a crucial aspect in ensuring product quality and consumer protection.
"The standardization and quality assurance systems need to be continuously strengthened so that products meet safety and quality standards and can increase public trust," explained Agus.
