Inp.polri.go.id - Badung. The Indonesian National Police (INP)) and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) expanded operational ties against transnational crime during the 14th Senior Officers Meeting (SOM) at the Merusaka Hotel in Badung Regency, Bali, on Monday.

An annual bilateral framework since 2011, the 14th SOM addressed nine priority security areas: counter-terrorism, human smuggling, human exploitation, organized crime, cybercrime, anti-corruption, forensics, joint capacity building, and fugitive apprehension.

The INP Chief met bilaterally with AFP Commissioner Krissy Barrett to discuss mutual fugitive extraditions, joint investigations, cross-border law enforcement, digital asset tracking, and diplomatic accreditation for AFP liaison officers in Indonesia.

The meeting featured the Jakarta Centre for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC) Board of Patrons gathering, noting over 53,091 law enforcement officers trained globally since 2004. Both agencies signed Circular Resolution 31 and finalized the INP-AFP People Smuggling Cooperation Program Work Plan to bolster regional Indo-Pacific security.
