Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency arrested Andre Fernando, alias "The Doctor," in Penang, Malaysia, on Sunday, ending a high-profile manhunt for the primary crystal methamphetamine supplier to the Koko Erwin drug lord syndicate.
"The suspect was arrested through a joint operation between the Criminal Investigation Agency, the International Relations Division, and Interpol," confirmed Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, the Director of Drug Crimes, on Monday (6/4/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
Investigations revealed that the suspect utilized international cargo and sea routes through Dumai, Riau, to distribute narcotics, including "happy water" and drug-laced vape liquid. The Doctor reportedly disguised shipments within gift boxes and dolls to bypass security before supplying regional kingpins in West Nusa Tenggara and Jakarta.
The suspect was extradited to Indonesia on Monday under heavy guard for further interrogation. Authorities confirmed that this arrest significantly disrupts a major narcotics pipeline connecting Malaysian suppliers to Indonesian distribution hubs.
