The Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police (INP), Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, ensured that there will be zero tolerance for police officers involved in drug abuse or trafficking. This relates to the involvement of certain officers in the North Toraja Sub-regional Police and the South Sulawesi Regional Police.
According to Johnny, INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has emphasized his strong commitment to enforcing the law against perpetrators of drug crimes, including those involving individual police officers.
"The Chief of Police, as the leader of INP, has on various occasions emphasized his strong commitment to enforcing the law against perpetrators of drug crimes, including the concerned police officers," explained Johnny on Monday (2/23/2026).
Johnny emphasized that there will be no special treatment for officers implicated in drug cases. He stated that the action taken against these two officers demonstrates the commitment and firmness of the police leadership in eradicating drugs.
"There will be no tolerance and no special treatment (impunity), especially for police officers involved in drug abuse and trafficking networks. The prosecution of the Head of the North Toraja Sub-regional Police Narcotics Unit and the Head of the Narcotics Unit by the South Sulawesi Regional Police is concrete evidence and a demonstration of the commitment and firmness of the police leadership across all regional units in eradicating drugs in Indonesia," he said.
