Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP) has established 19,105 child and disability-friendly facilities across police stations from 2021 to 2024. 

Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, the INP Public Relations Division Head of the Public Information Bureau, highlighted on Friday (11/10/2024) that these facilities include 2,404 child-friendly rooms, 2,221 lactation rooms, 2,929 disability access routes, 2,392 disability-specific toilets, 2,805 disability signs, 2,724 wheelchairs, 2,379 disability parking spaces, and 1,251 handrail elevators.

The initiative followed the directive from Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, after President Joko Widodo's emphasis on the government's commitment to vulnerable groups. 

“The INP Chief has instructed all ranks to ensure the availability of child and disability-friendly facilities,” Chief Trunoyudo said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He stressed that inclusive facilities are part of the INP’s commitment to enhancing public service quality.
