inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. In empowering women and protecting the women and children, the Directorate of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit launch a campaign of #RiseAndSpeak.

This campaign aims to create a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment by raising awareness on speaking up and reporting gender-based violence, whether in the form of physical, psychological, or economic and sexual exploitation.

In her remarks, the Director of INP Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Brigadier General of Police Nurul Azizah, emphasized the importance of community participation in combating violence against women and children.

"Our goal for the #RiseAndSpeak campaign is to create a safe and inclusive environment for all, especially women, children, and other vulnerable groups. We encourage every individual to dare to speak up and report every act of violence and injustice," said Nurul Azizah.

This campaign has several main missions, including educating the public to dare to report acts of violence, strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration, and optimizing digital platforms as a means of broad and effective public education. In addition, this campaign also aims to increase public trust in the police and related agencies in handling cases of gender-based violence and human trafficking.

"One of the most important things in this campaign is empowering victims and perpetrators who are vulnerable groups. We want to provide them with capacity and independence through rehabilitation programs, psychosocial assistance, and economic empowerment," he added.

The #RiseAndSpeak campaign not only includes educational activities through social and conventional media, but also involves various direct activities in the community, such as workshops, consultations with psychologists, and facilities for victims of violence to vent.

"Let's build a better Indonesia together through real action," calls Nurul Azizah.
