Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) suggested that the Indonesian National Police (INP) is capable of addressing street crime, including robbery and assault, by leveraging technology.
“With today’s technological advances, police are equipped with sophisticated tools to combat street crime,” said Kompolnas Commissioner Mohammad Choirul Anam on Tuesday (2/6/2026).
He noted that CCTV cameras are already installed in many areas, and citizens can report incidents directly through the 110 hotline.
Anam emphasized that these measures, combined with the INP’s experience in solving major robbery cases, strengthen public safety. He encouraged communities to actively communicate with police at all levels.
Recently, police arrested three suspects involved in a robbery scheme using false accusations and assault in West Jakarta’s Daan Mogot area.
