The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, along with the key officials of INP, paid a condolence visit to the home of the late Mrs. Meriyati Hoegeng, affectionately known as Eyang Meri. She was the wife of the 5th National Police Chief, General Hoegeng Iman Santoso.

The passing of Eyang Meri is a great loss, not only for her family, but also for INP and Indonesia as a whole. Eyang Meri's exemplary character will live on in every step of INP's journey.

During her life, Eyang Meri conveyed many messages and a powerful message of encouragement to maintain the integrity and honor of the INP institution. This is a true example set by the late General Hoegeng Iman Santoso.

The INP Chief also offered prayers for the deceased to find the best place in the sight of God Almighty. He also prayed for the family to be given strength and fortitude.

Eyang Meri passed away at the age of 100. She passed away after undergoing treatment for an illness.
