inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo apologized if any Bhayangkara Corps personnel have violated the public's sense of justice.
"On this occasion, I want to apologize if in our daily lives any actions by our members have violated the public's sense of justice," he said at the "Police Breaking the Fast with the Press" event at INP Headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday (2/25/2026).
Sigit promised that if any personnel commit acts that violate public justice, especially criminal violations, his unit will not hesitate to take firm action.
"This demonstrates our commitment, the institution's commitment to the public, to society, and to the press," he said.
Furthermore, he encouraged the nation's press to monitor coverage of the achievements of police personnel, as he believes this can motivate them to perform better.
The National Police, he continued, are always ready to accept input, criticism, and evaluation.
"However, we also assure that we continue to carry out our institutional mandate, to carry out our primary duties of maintaining public order and security, enforcing the law, and maintaining security for our country," he said.
