inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo was officially appointed an honorary member of the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSBSI). The appointment was one of the decisions made at the 2026 KSBSI National Working Meeting.
KSBSI President Elly Rosita Silaban stated that the conferment of honorary member status was both an award and a symbol of the closeness and cooperation that has existed between KSBSI and INP.
According to Elly, appointing an active INP Chief as an honorary member of the labor union is a special event.
"I will also explain, this is a first, Sir, for an active INP Chief, a general, to become an honorary member of a labor union. Perhaps the first time in the world, Sir," said Elly (8/28/2026).
Elly believes General Sigit's attention to labor issues is one of the strong reasons for the award. One of the reasons is the establishment of the INP Manpower Desk.
According to her, the Manpower Desk plays a crucial role in helping to create better industrial relations.
Elly hopes that the Manpower Desk's existence will not only be recognized at the national level but will also be strengthened at the provincial level. This way, workers in various regions can more easily access services and protection.
Meanwhile, the INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the trust placed in him by the Indonesian Workers' Union (KSBSI).
According to Sigit, this status is not simply a gift, but also a mandate for the INP to continuously improve services and protection for workers.
This appointment also strengthens the INP's commitment to building communication with labor unions and encouraging the resolution of labor issues through a dialogical, humanistic, and equitable approach.
