Inp.polri.go.id - Padang. Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Thursday (18/12/2025) urged the INO personnel to remain fully present and responsive to communities affected by natural disasters in West Sumatra, emphasizing solidarity and public service during emergencies.
“Every officer must maintain morale, unity, and professionalism while continuing to serve the public with sincerity,” he said while delivering humanitarian aid and morale support to disaster-affected officers in Padang, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Chief Sigit met personnel of the West Sumatra Regional Police whose homes and facilities were damaged by recent floods and landslides. According to police data, at least 170 officers were directly affected. Listyo personally handed over basic necessities and daily supplies to support their recovery.
He stressed that disasters must not weaken the police commitment to protect and assist the public, even when officers themselves are impacted. Earlier, the INP Chief also joined a high-level coordination meeting led by President Prabowo Subianto to discuss disaster response and recovery measures across the province.
