Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Manpower Yassierli has urged private companies to allow employees to work from anywhere (WFA) between 29 and 31 December 29 2025 to help manage mobility during the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
Speaking in Jakarta on Thursday (18/12/2025), his said the appeal is in line with the government’s decision to grant WFA to civil servants nationwide after Christmas and ahead of New Year.
“We encourage private companies to give workers the opportunity to implement flexible working arrangements, commonly known as work from anywhere,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com
The policy applies to the year-end period following public holidays on 25 and 26 December 2025, and ahead of 1 January 2026. The minister stressed that WFA should not be counted as annual leave, as employees remain fully responsible for their duties and productivity.
Companies may exclude sectors requiring on-site services, including healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality, retail, and other essential industries. Yassierli added that wages, working hours, and supervision during WFA should remain in line with existing agreements.
