Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo convened a meeting at INP Headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday (24/9/2025), bringing together academics, human rights experts, media practitioners, and retired police generals to accelerate institutional reform. 

The session aimed to strengthen collaboration with the Police Reform Committee established by the President.

“This team was formed to support the INP Reform Committee and to serve as a communication bridge between the committee and the police,” Chief Sigit said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Among those invited were former senior officers Commissioner Generall (Ret.) Ito Sumardi and Inspector General (Ret.) Aryanto Sutadi, as well as scholars and activists including Prof. Hermawan Sulistyo, Bambang Rukminto, and Sugeng Teguh Santoso. Representatives from the media, academia, and civil society also joined, reflecting a wide range of perspectives.

Chief Sigit stressed that external input would provide a solid foundation for strategies to build a more professional, adaptive, and people-oriented police force aligned with public expectations.
