Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo received on Thursday (10/7/2025) an award from the International Trade Union Confederation-Asia Pacific (ITUC-AP) for his dedication to protecting workers’ rights.
The award was presented by ITUC-AP Secretary-General Shoya Yoshida during a ceremony at Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta.
President of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPSI, Andi Gani Nena Wea, praised Chief Sigit’s efforts, including establishing the INP Labor Desk and helping workers affected by layoffs secure new employment.
Chief Sigit emphasized the importance of police collaboration with labor unions and stakeholders in improving labor conditions and economic recovery.
“The collaboration we build must strengthen investment and employment opportunities for our workforce,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com
To date, over 35,000 job opportunities have been identified through this initiative, with a new wave of 1,500 job placements planned in Cirebon, West Java and Brebes in Central Java
