Inp.polri.go.id - Nganjuk. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo visited the grave of National Hero and labor activist Marsinah in Nganjuk, East Java, on Saturday (27/12/2025), to honor her legacy and reaffirm support for workers’ rights.
“Today we pay our respects to Marsinah and ensure that her struggle continues to inspire the fight for workers’ rights in a responsible and constructive way,” he said during the visit, as reported by antaranews.com
After the pilgrimage, the INP Chief laid the first stone for the construction of the Marsinah National Museum and shelter house in Nglundo Village. The facility is expected to preserve historical memory, promote labor education, and support local economic growth through community-based microenterprises.
Marsinah, born in 1969, was murdered in 1993 after advocating for labor rights. She was officially named a National Hero in November 2025.
