Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Police will enforce traffic engineering measures across key areas of the capital during New Year’s Eve celebrations to ensure public safety and smooth mobility, following coordination with the Jakarta Provincial Government.
“Traffic restrictions will be applied because eight public stages will operate from the Horse Statue Roundabout to Senayan Roundabout,” said Metro Jaya Police Head of Traffic Police Operations Unit Senior Inspector Robby Hefados on Saturday (27/12/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com
The car-free night scheme will run from 6 pm until 2 am, with full road closures along Sudirman and MH Thamrin corridors. A total of 1,500 officers will be deployed during the traffic engineering period, while nearly 800 officers will specifically secure New Year’s Eve operations in coordination with local police units.
Metro Jaya Police will also work with the Transportation Agency and municipal authorities to control illegal parking, particularly on roads vulnerable to congestion during the celebrations.
