Inp.polri.go.id - Klaten. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Wednesday (15/1/2026) inaugurated 19 Merah Putih Presisi bridges in Klaten, Central Java, implementing President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to accelerate infrastructure development in remote areas to ensure safe access to education and economic activity.
“This is a concrete follow-up to the President’s concern that children should not risk their lives or travel long distances just to attend school,” Chief Sigit said during the ceremony in Prambanan, Klaten.
The bridges were built by the Central Java Regional Police in coordination with local communities, strengthening mobility for students, farmers, and residents. The inauguration marked part of a broader program under which 63 bridges are planned across the province.
Nationally, the INP have built or upgraded 178 bridges, with Central Java recording the highest number.
