Inp.polri.go.id - Grobogan.  Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo symbolically launched on Wednesday (9/7/2025)  third-quarter corn planting efforts in Selojari Village, Central Java, as part of a broader initiative to achieve national food self-sufficiency.

“In Q3 2025, we’re planting corn across 168,432 hectares nationwide,” he said at the event. “This includes 117,510 hectares of cultivated social forestry land, 48,082 hectares of productive land, and 2,839 hectares planted today.”

Central Java accounts for 38,750 hectares, with police-supported farmers managing cultivation. As of July 8, the national corn planting potential covers 795,339 hectares, with 431,233 already planted.

The INP is also building 18 food warehouses with a combined capacity of 18,000 tons, expected to finish by August 2025. These warehouses will include corn dryers to speed post-harvest processing, according to antaranews.com.
