Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo declared his willingness to testify in the trial of the 2024 Presidential Election Dispute if summoned by the Constitutional Court.
"If the Constitutional Court Judges invite us, we will gladly attend," he said on Tuesday evening (2/4/2024).
Chief Sigit said his presence signifies adherence to laws and regulations.
Legal Deputy Head of Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD's campaign team, Todung Mulya Lubis, confirmed their formal request to summon Chief Sigit for testimony, citing numerous police corps violations.
"There are quite a few things related to the police, including intimidation, criminalization, and neutrality issues during the campaign," Todung said.
The team expected accountable explanations regarding police policies and orders.
