Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo received reports saying several members of 2024 Election Voting Organizing Committee (KPPS) are exhausted.
"We have already seen this phenomenon in 2019 where many of them are exhausted. That is why, back in quiet-period, we have urged KPPS members, and joint security members to review their health conditions to ensure that they are in prime condition on the voting day," said General Sigit on Wednesday (2/14/2024).
Moreover, Sigit also told that there are several polling stations have to be relocated due to disasters such as flooding. He ensures that his party will continue to lend their hands to ensure the evacuation goes smoothly and the voting proces could continue accordingly.
"Then regarding the relocation of distribution, there is an MoU between the General Election Commission and the Police, between the General Election Commission and the Military or other institutions. Thus we are operating based on the MoU and we hope that for today, the voting process would remain continue although there are some who have to revote, like in Malaysia and Papua, and other polling stations that has to be relocated," said INP Chief.
