Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo assured the public on Saturday (30/8/2025) that the military and police will immediately deploy to restore order after violent demonstrations erupted in several regions.
“There is growing anxiety and fear among the public. Therefore, the military and police will move quickly to stabilize the situation,” he said alongside Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto at Bojongkoneng, Bogor, after meeting President Prabowo Subianto, as quoted by antaranews.com.
He stressed that recent protests have shifted from peaceful demonstrations to criminal acts, including arson, attacks on security posts, and destruction of public facilities. Following the President’s directive, security forces will take firm yet measured action to protect citizens and ensure stability.
Chief Sigit urged residents to remain calm, promising that operations would be lawful and proportionate.
