Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has rejected accusations of being intolerant to criticism following an apology from punk band Sukatani over their controversial song about the police.

“The INP is committed to becoming a modern institution that welcomes criticism,” said Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, the INP Public Relations Division Head of the Public Information Bureau, on Thursday (21/2/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com. 

He added that INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has consistently reinforced this message.

The lesser-known punk band, which is based in Central Java’s Purbalingga, issued a public apology on social media after the song went viral.  The track has been removed from Spotify, with the band urging fans to delete related content, citing potential legal risks.
