Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Bhayangkara Hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, will return to the Glodok Plaza fire site in West Jakarta’s Taman Sari on Friday to continue the search for victims' remains.
“The full team will revisit Glodok Plaza tomorrow for body part retrieval and final body recovery efforts,” said Bhayangkara Hospital Head of Forensic Services, Senior Superintendent Hery Wijatmoko, on Thursday (20/2/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The team, scheduled to arrive at 8 a.m. local time, includes forensic specialists from RS Sukanto hospital, West Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit, the Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team, and local fire and rescue services.
Bhayangkara Hospital previously received 16 body bags following the 15 January 2025 fire. Of the 14 bags currently undergoing reconciliation, two were confirmed not to contain human remains after further forensic examination.
Six victims have been positively identified through DNA and dental records.
