In a significant effort to maintain peace and security in the run-up to the 2024 elections, the Indonesian's National Police (INP) Nusantara Cooling System (ONCS) operation team paid a visit to the residence of Habib Umar Al-Muthohar in Semarang, Central Java. The ONCS team was led by Brigadier General M. Rudy Syafrudin, the INP's Director of Community Order. The visit was a strategic move to ensure the forthcoming 2024 elections remain free from social tensions and conflicts. "Provocative issues rooted in ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds (SARA) must not take root within our society," said Central Java Regional Police's Director of Community Development Senior Superintendent Lafri Prasetyono in his statement on Wednesday (11/10/2023) He called on Habib Umar to use his platform for preaching and religious guidance  to ensure that the community remains safe and secure during the 2024 elections. "We also request Habib Umar Al-Muthohar to convey to the congregation the importance of respecting differences in opinions and choices during the 2024 elections," Director Lafri said, The ONCS is the INP's security operation designed with a strong emphasis on pre-emptive and preventive measures to mitigate potential social conflicts in anticipation of the 2024 General Election (inp/ay/pr/nm)
