The Directorate of Narcotics of the Jakarta Metro Regional Police has arrested 2,053 suspects during  various operations conducted in collaboration with local police offices since July to September 2023, an official said. "We have uncovered a total of 1,548 drug cases involving 2,053 suspects," the Director of the Narcotics Directorate of Jakarta Metro Regional Police, Brigadier General Hengki,  said on Wednesday (10/11/23). He explained that the police has confiscated various types of drugs including 379.87 kilograms of marijuana, 7.46 kilograms of synthetic tobacco, 67,372 ecstasy pills , 32,772 other drugs, and liquid crystal methamphetamine. Some of the evidence were confiscated by the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Division. Some of the seized drugs were destroyed on Wednesday at the Jakarta Metro Regional Police.  The rest will be destroyed by the INP. (mg/as/pr/nm)
