The Indonesian National Police (INP) General Supervision Inspector, Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo leads the corn seeds planting on the land of an Islamic School Boarding. The activity was led by Dedi from Jombang and broadcasted virtually to several other Islamic Boarding Schools.
The corn planting took place on land belonging to the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School in Jombang, East Java. The corn plantation covers 10 hectares.
"Today, we have carried out simultaneous corn planting activities in collaboration and synergy with all Islamic boarding schools in East Java. There are approximately 264 Islamic boarding schools participating in this activity which brings the total land covering to 500 hectares of land," explained Dedi on Wednesday (8/6/2025).
According to him, the total number of simultaneous corn plantings is targeted at 200,000 hectares by the third quarter. The planting is also carried out in synergy with all Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.
He further states that if the target of planting 1 million hectares of corn is achieved, this year's corn production will reach 4 million tons. This figure is an increase from the previous year.
"In accordance with the President's program, we are committed to jointly implementing this program," said Dedi.
