inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. The Indonesian National Police (INP) held the Polri Goes to Campus program as an effort to improve digital literacy and prevent the spread of online gambling among the younger generation.

The event, titled "Healthy Campus, Great Students: Preventing Online Gambling Together with the Polri, Komdigi, and Academics," was held at Pelita Harapan University (UPH), Tangerang, on Thursday (7/16/2026).

The event featured speakers from the Ministry of Communication and Digital, the INP Criminal Investigation Agency, and academics to provide insights into the dangers of online gambling, illegal online loans, digital security, and mental health.

The Head of the Public Information Bureau of INP Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, stated that the younger generation is the most active group in internet use, but also the most vulnerable to digital crime.

"We are not only committed to enforcing the law against online gambling operators and illegal online lending networks, but also prioritizing preventative measures through education. We want students to have strong digital and financial literacy so they don't become victims or perpetrators of digital crime," said Trunoyudo.

He explained that through the program, INP along with the Ministry of Communication and Digital and academics, are creating an open dialogue space to provide comprehensive education on the dangers of online gambling, illegal online lending methods, and the importance of building a healthy digital culture.

"Through this collaboration, we hope to foster a young generation capable of becoming pioneers of digital literacy on campus and in the community, so that the goal of realizing Golden Indonesia 2045 can be realized with superior human resources free from the influence of online gambling and illegal online lending," he added.
