INP Conducts Rotation of 88 High-Ranking Officers

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) conducted a major structural rotation affecting 88 high-ranking and mid-ranking officers on Friday after General Suyudi Ario Seto officially assumed office as INP Chief.

INP Head of Public Relations Division Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir confirmed on Saturday (3/10/2026) that the reassignments encompass promotional appointments for 70 officers, filling 14 principal position vacancies at INP Headquarters and appointing 19 new regional police chiefs.

"Position reassignment and rotation are part of the organizational dynamics of the INP. This is carried out according to organizational needs, as well as part of career development and refreshment in executing police duties," he said, adding that every officer entrusted with a new role is expected to perform their duties to the best of their abilities, continue ongoing work, and provide optimal police services to the public,

Key appointments at the INP Headquarters include Commissioner General Asep Edi Suheri as General Inspectorate Chief , Inspector General Dedy Kusuma Bakti as Intelligence and Security Chief), Inspector General Asep Safrudin as Criminal Investigation Agency Chief, Inspector General Hery Herjawan as Security Maintenance Chief, and Inspector General Rudi Darmoko as INP Education and Training Head). Meanwhile Inspector General Mahmud Nazly Harahap was appointed Internal Affairs Division Chief, Brigadier General Tubagus Ami Prindani as Densus 88 Counterterrorism Chief, Inspector General Roberto G.M. Pasaribu as ICT Division Chief, and Inspector General Ahrie Sonta N. as Legal Division Chief.

Significant regional police chief changes include Inspector General Dadang Hartanto taking command of Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General Hengki assigned to West Java Police, Brigadier General Roy Hardi Siahaan to Central Java Police, Inspector General Dekananto Eko Purwono to East Java Police, and Brigadier General Pasma Royce to Bali Police. 

Furthermore, Inspector General Suwondo Nainggolan was appointed Maluku Police Chief, Inspector General Reza Arief Dewanto East Nusa Tenggara Police Chief, Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan Banten Police Chief, and Brigadier General Rony Samtana South Sumatra Police Chief.
