inp.polri.go.id - Malang. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Densus 88 Anti-Terror Team arrest a terrorist with the initials of HOK (19). The suspect, who is still a student, was arrested in Batu, Malang, East Java, on July 31st, 2024 at 19.15 p.m.

The Head of INP Public Information Bureau, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko explains that the arrest was commenced as the intel reveals that the suspect was about to commit suicide bombing.

“According to our investigation, we found out that the was about to commit bomb terrorism with TATP explosives,” said Wisnu in his official statement on Thursday (8/1/2024).

Furthermore, Wisnu reveal that the suspect was part of Daulah Islamiyah terrorist group.

“He was about to commit terrorist attacks at two houses of worship in Malang, East Java,” adds Wisnu.

Currently the suspect was under intense examination by the police investigators. Moreover investigators also seized pieces of evidence found at his place, one of which are the homemade bomb.

"A number of chemicals were found for assembling bombs that would be used for the attack," said Wisnu.
